Symptoms of a Male Yeast Infection.
|
|
These are the symptoms of a male yeast infection. |
Two male yeast infections that are prevalent are penile yeast infections and oral thrush. Penile yeast infection is
very uncomfortable and painful and it may have an impact on sex. Oral thrush is more visible and therefore more
embarrassing. Male yeast infection is not as common as vaginal yeast infections but men who have suffered from it
know that it is painful and embarrassing.
Because initially there are no signs of male yeast infection even though they do indeed have it, they can transfer
it to their partner while having intercourse. He may pass it on and not even know he has it.
The signs of a penile yeast infection include a red and inflamed tip on the penis. This is very uncomfortable and
gets worse with clothes rubbing against it. The inflammation can transform into ulcer like spots. It can also make
sex nearly impossible.
The dry flaky patches on the shaft of the penis are itchy and can get irritated. They can develop pus under the
surface that can break open during sex or even just getting an erection.
Penile yeast infection can also get inside the penis via the urethra. This usually is indicated by a burning when
urinating and discharge out the tip. These can be other things so be sure to see your doctor to have it identified
for treatment.
Discharge from the penis is usually white and can clump up. It can be constant so there is no guarantee that
washing it with soap and water will get rid of it.
Symptoms of oral yeast infection or oral thrust include white or creamy spots on the surface of both the tongue and
the rest of the mouth. Yeast thrives in damp warm spots like the mouth. Another indication of oral thrush is a
thick coating over the tongue. Fissures can hide under the coating but these can be extremely painful as they crack
with movement.

If the yeast infection has descended into the throat, it can make swallowing difficult.
