To totally beat candida you cannot target the candida
overgrowth only. There is a reason that the candida growth gets out of hand. If you eliminate that reason, you will
have beaten candida. Frequently the corporations would have you believe that anti-fungal creams and probiotics in a
diet, is all you need to beat the yeast problem. This is not true. Because of the above reason, attacking only the
yeast is only a stop gap method. Initially it may appear to work but most times the yeast infection will return.
Candida cleanses are a good option only if they eliminate the original reason the infection occurred in the first
place.
The first thing a person should do is find the original reason for the
overgrowth.
Prescription drugs or antibiotics will frequently lead to overgrowth. The antibiotics
destroy both harmful and beneficial bacteria in the body. The beneficial bacteria destroyed are beneficial in that
they equal out the balance of candida in the body. Without the bacteria, it’s party time for the candida. An
overgrowth is inevitable. Generally the longer the drugs stay in the system the greater chance of a yeast
infection. In this case, a candida cleanse would be the reduction or total elimination of the drugs. But make sure
you discuss the problem with your doctor.
Metal toxicity in the body is another reason for candida overgrowth. There are a
number of sources of metal to enter the body. Lead in paint and mercury in fish could be sources of heavy metal
toxicity. One of the most frequent sources of metal in the body are metal amalgams in the teeth (silver fillings).
In these cases, candida cleanses would be to eliminate the metal sources. Repaint, change your diet and have
the metal amalgams replaced.
A diet that has too much refined flour or sugar or bad fats can be a major breeding
starting point for candida yeast. The longer the poor diet continues the more chance of overgrowth and other
diseases. Candida cleanses in this case would be a regulated diet without yeast and sugar. There are a number of
sites on the internet with yeast free diets.
